1. Platform role
ConnectBoard provides a place where users can publish and browse
listings for services, products, jobs, gigs, internships, and local
announcements. ConnectBoard is not a party to any deal, job offer,
employment relationship, contract, sale, rental, service, payment, or
private arrangement made between users.
We do not guarantee the accuracy, quality, safety, legality, availability,
price, identity, qualifications, or reliability of any user, listing,
service, employer, applicant, buyer, seller, or announcement.
2. User responsibility
By posting or responding to a listing, you agree that you are responsible
for checking the other person, confirming details, complying with
applicable laws, handling payment safely, and deciding whether to proceed.
Do not rely on ConnectBoard as a verification, escrow, payment, hiring,
recruitment, delivery, insurance, or dispute-resolution service.
3. Prohibited content
- Illegal goods, services, jobs, documents, substances, weapons, or activities.
- Fake jobs, pyramid schemes, scams, advance-fee requests, or misleading posts.
- Adult, sexual, exploitative, violent, hateful, harassing, or discriminatory content.
- Requests for passports, passwords, bank cards, one-time codes, or sensitive private data.
- Content that infringes copyrights, trademarks, privacy, confidentiality, or another person's rights.
- Unsafe work, unpaid work presented dishonestly, or jobs that avoid legal obligations.
4. Jobs and services
Job posters are responsible for accurate job descriptions, lawful pay,
safe working conditions, required permissions, and any tax, immigration,
employment, insurance, or contract obligations. Service providers are
responsible for delivering what they promise and for any licenses,
permissions, safety rules, taxes, refunds, or customer obligations that
apply to their work.
5. Payments and private deals
ConnectBoard does not process, hold, refund, guarantee, insure, or recover
money. Never send money, deposits, documents, or sensitive information
unless you have independently verified the other person and the arrangement.
If something feels suspicious, stop and report it.
6. Moderation rights
We may review, edit, hide, reject, remove, flag, or restrict listings and
accounts at our discretion, especially where content appears unsafe,
unlawful, misleading, spammy, abusive, or harmful to students or the
community. We may preserve information and cooperate with appropriate
authorities if required or if serious safety concerns arise.
7. Limitation of responsibility
To the fullest extent allowed by applicable law, ConnectBoard is not
responsible for losses, damages, injuries, disputes, non-payment,
failed services, inaccurate listings, cancelled jobs, private meetings,
user conduct, or agreements made outside the platform.
8. Report problems
Use the report option on a listing if it appears fake, unsafe, illegal,
discriminatory, or misleading. For urgent danger, contact local emergency
services or relevant authorities first.
